  • How do I know that my water softener is working?

When your water softener needs to be repaired or replaced, you’ll start to see mineral deposit buildup on your faucets and shower heads. You may also notice that you have unusually dry skin after stepping out of the shower or after washing your hands. To clean shower heads or faucet aerators, simply pour a cup of vinegar into a bowl and allow the items to soak clean.

  • After I run hot water, I hear dripping in my ceiling. Is it leaking?

What you're hearing is the thermal expansion of the hot water system. The pipe is actually growing with the heat of the water, something that’s completely normal. The sound is caused by the pipe rubbing in a hanger; it’s not actually leaking.

  • We hardly use our basement bathroom, so why are foul smells coming from there?

Plumbing systems are designed to keep sewer gases from getting into your home. If they’re not used often, the water in the trap will evaporate, releasing the gases into the room. Simply pour water down the drain to replenish the water levels and block out the smell. If this doesn't solve the issue, give Kegonsa Plumbing a call. We'll be there to conduct a free in-home consultation for you.

  • I know I want to remodel my bathroom, but I’m not sure where to start. How can you help me?

At Kegonsa Plumbing, we typically start with a consultation to understand what your goals are and what you want to accomplish. We then offer professional demolition and disposal services before working with you to upgrade your bathroom.
